Can you explain 1 John 5:7-8, “For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.” (NASB)

Please note: the middle parts of verses 7-8 (not here quoted, but in the KJV) are spurious. Those words were added by scribes. Today, scholars agree that those omitted words are not part of the Bible. The New American Standard Bible (NASB) accurately translates this scripture passage.

In 1 John 5, the Apostle John is trying […]

Is Jesus God or a son of God? If both how come?

This is a question often asked. Many people turn to John 1:1, (King James Version) where it reads,"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 10:30, says "I and my Father are one." However, others reason, "How can they be one but two at the […]

Explain 1John 5:6,7

In the King James Version of the Bible these verses read, 6"This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.  7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the […]

How can I explain the Trinity when Jesus said: I am in the Father and the Father is in me, but Jesus did not include the Holy Spirit?

Jesus said “I am in the Father and the Father is in me”. John 14:1NIV How is Jesus in the Father? This scripture could not be teaching that Jesus is physically inside the Father because Jesus was on earth when He said this. If not physically, then in heart, mind and spirit.

How is the Father […]

Did Jesus claim that He is God?

"I and My Father Are One."
Jhn 10:30 KJV –   I and Father are one.

Our Lord's own explanation and illustration of the manner in which he and the Father are one is very generally overlooked. He said in prayer to the Father–

"I pray not for the world but for them which thou hast given […]

Shed more light on the Trinity – God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one person.

Respecting God, Psalm 90:2 declares, “from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” Hence, God has no beginning and no end.  God is eternal and God is a spirit (John 4:24.) God’s angels are also spirits (Hebrews 1:7).  We are assured in Genesis 16:13 that God is all-knowing, “You are a God who sees…” God is […]

Is the oneness between Jesus Christ and God, the Heavenly Father, ethical or metaphysical?

In the early history of the Church, after the Apostles had fallen asleep, many bitter controversies were engaged in over this very question. But now in these latter days when knowledge is increasing along all lines, and particularly so as regards the knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures, the solution of the matter is clearly […]

If Christ was God the Father, and God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; how could a voice from heaven say–“This is My beloved Son,” when He was a man on earth?

This is an age of general enlightenment. Knowledge is increasing along all lines, and specially so in regard to the teachings of the Scriptures. The superstitions and theories of the darker past are fading away in the light that is gradually widening out unto the perfect day. The shadows of ignorance and prejudice are still […]
