We believe that in order to go to heaven a person must recognize he is a sinner, accept Jesus’ sacrifice for his sins, and consecrate his life to doing God’s will. This involves cross-bearing and self-denial. Matt. 16:24, “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

Since Solomon lived before Jesus’ time, the opportunity to follow Jesus and go to Heaven was not a possibility. Heb. 10:20, “By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.” This means that Solomon will live on the earth with the rest of mankind who have not chosen to follow Jesus at this time, or who lived before Jesus’ time.

In the Bible we find many references to a future time on earth when God’s Kingdom will be established and the opportunity for everyone to live forever in this Kingdom. Jesus tells us to pray for that kingdom on earth. “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

Isaiah 9:6-7: “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father; Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.”

Isaiah 35:5-10:  “Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land. Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish where desert jackals once lived. And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God's ways; fools will never walk there. No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there. Those who have been ransomed by the LORD will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.”

In this earthly kingdom, all who ever lived, the evil as well as the good, will come forth from their graves and have an opportunity for everlasting life. During this period of judgment, righteousness is learned. Jer. 31:34, “And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying,’You should know the LORD.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already,” says the LORD. “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins”

The heavenly class, who followed after Jesus now, will be instrumental in helping to restore the billions returning from their graves. Rev. 3:21, “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.”
