James 4:8 (NIV), "Come near to God and he will come near to youWash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." When we approach God, we should come with pure, sincere, humble hearts. If we are sinning, we need to "wash," – stop sinning and ask for forgiveness through Jesus.

We are also not to come with a hidden agenda (double-mindedness). This means we are not to read the Bible looking for a verse to justify our beliefs and actions. We come with the single focus to learn and understand our wonderful Father. God will reward the pure, humble seeker. God promises to come close to you!

We offer a free booklet, "How to Study the Bible and Have It Make Sense," on this App. It may be downloaded at the following link:  http://bibleresources.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/HOW-TO-STUDY-THE-BIBLE.pdf  We believe “topical” Bible study is the most effective way to investigate and understand an entire topic. Studying topically by looking at Scriptures in the Old and New Testaments gives a complete picture of how the Bible is harmonious from start to finish.
