God made Adam and Eve in His own image, Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV). The image of God does not refer to His physical likeness. It refers to God’s spiritual likeness. God is all loving, just, wise and powerful. Perfect man is a manifestation of these attributes, and has free will and the ability to reason. Sinful mankind has been losing God’s image for over 6,000 years.
An aspect of God’s image is man’s rulership over the lower creation. Genesis 1:26, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’” Man was never given dominion over other men.
All races are descendants of Adam and Eve. Acts 17:26 (NIV): “From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth…” Thus, all men were to reflect God’s image.
God is not black, white or any other color or race. He is a divine spirit being. Jesus taught, “be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:45 (ESV) “God does not show favoritism.” Romans 2:11 (NIV).
God sent Jesus to be a ransom for all men. “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh.” 1 Peter 3:18.
Will all races ever live together in equality and harmony? Yes, when Christ establishes his rulership over all the earth. Micah 4:2-4 (NKJV), “…He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples and rebuke strong nations afar off; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. But everyone shall sit under his (own) vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.”
