How can we be happy to have problems and trials? Only by knowing that as we endure, or solve our problems in Christ-like ways, we develop Christian character. A plaque we often see reads, "LORD, give me patience, and give it to me right now!" This sounds as if patience were a gift. However, for most of us, it is developed by years of trusting in God through our many experiences. Matthew 5:11
