Before it came to pass I showed it [to] thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them. Isaiah 48:5

So the events of history could not be considered happenstance, God often foretold them to his people. When they came to pass they could see God had foreknown them. In this way, false means of prophecy such as astrology or idols, etc., could not be credited for the acts. Psalms 145:3,4
