The Law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ. Galatians 3:24

The Law Covenant was not made with the whole world, but only with Israel. They, being imperfect, could not keep a perfect Law. Its purpose was to point out their weaknesses, showing them their need for Messiah. At his First Advent, some Jews were prepared to receive him, and for three and a half years after Jesus' death, the Early Church was composed of Jews only. Hebrews 5:9
