Children's Daily Manna - September 3

Behold, we count them happy which endure [or hold out]. Ye have heard of the patience of Job ... that the LORD is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. (James 5:11)

The prophets of the LORD are examples of patient suffering. Job continued to trust in God even though he had great trouble and sorrow. God let Satan test Job's faithfulness by taking away everything except his life. Eventually his health was restored, and he regained even more than he had lost. Romans 5:3
