Behold the Lamb of God! John 1:36

God uses picture language throughout the Bible. Here he calls Jesus a lamb. Lambs are obedient, and they look to their shepherds to lead and care for them. Let us try to live our lives in the way Jesus would, as nearly as possible. We take our lessons from what he said and did, and learn from the instructions he gave us through the apostles' writings, trying to call attention to Jesus, and not to ourselves. 1 Peter 1:12
