Salvation occurs in the heart and mind. A person first recognizes he or she is a sinner. Then God helps that one to see that Jesus died for those sins. With grateful heart, the person accepts Jesus as Savior.

The next step is a full and complete consecration to do only God’s will. Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV), “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Many say they are Christians. Some get wealthy preaching the prosperity gospel. Good works are commendable, but “he saved us –not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy…” Titus 3:5 (CSB) So, even though people may say or act like Christians, only God know the heart. There is no technology that can make known the heart condition of a man.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV), “But the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature,… For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.’”
