Many religions are the same! Their gods take only a fraction of mankind to heaven. The great majority of mankind are condemned to eons of suffering either here on earth through reincarnation or in hell. These gods have supposedly created a great and beautiful universe but populated it with lost, sinful souls.
Most Christian religions are also the same. Revelation 17 symbolically represents the Catholic Church as the great mother of harlots and the Protestant churches as her daughters. "And I saw a woman…arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus," Revelation 17:3-6.
In the name of God, hundreds of thousands of people were tortured and killed by the Papacy during the inquisition and the "holy" wars. Whole towns of protestants were slaughtered. Why was the Catholic church called a harlot? Because she united with civil governments. She became rich and used her unholy power to persecute Christians, Jews, and the heathen. Many of the Protestant churches fell into the same error. Protestants killed Catholics, Jews, and heathen also.
The true Church is called the Bride of Christ. She is a virgin. She recognizes that now is not the time to become involved with earthly governments. As Jesus said to Pilate, "My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight," John 18:36.
So, are any religions different? Is there a true religion? Yes. The God of the Bible is the true God. His plan redeems all mankind from sin and death. (Romans 5:18) Those who accept and follow Jesus now are seeking a heavenly resurrection. However, the rest of the billions of mankind will have an earthly resurrection. They will have their health restored; they will learn righteousness and love; and most importantly, their sins will be forgiven. (Jeremiah 31:31-33) They will have the opportunity to live eternally on earth in peace, joy, and blessings! (Isaiah 9:7) That's the true religion.
