Long Summary
Detailed Summary of the Discourse on Israel’s Future, Prophecy, and Biblical Fulfillment
Introduction and Purpose
– The discourse focuses on the prophetic future of Israel, referencing a prophetic map illustrating Israel’s expanding borders.
– The speaker identifies as a “prophetic student,” not a prophet, assembling scriptural “puzzle pieces” mainly from Ezekiel, Zechariah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and other books.
– Encourages dialogue and recognizes differing views among brethren on prophecy interpretation.
– Acknowledges foundational contributions from Brother Russell, Brother Ken Ross, Sister Virginia, and others.
– The talk aims to stimulate spiritual curiosity, prepare listeners for future events, and promote scriptural study.
Outline of Topics Covered
– Israel’s expanding borders.
– Possible fulfillment of Psalm 83 regarding an Arab-Muslim confederation war.
– The “final phase” of Jacob’s trouble as described in Ezekiel 38-39.
– Israel’s miraculous deliverance and vindication of God’s name.
– The identity of the “remnant” of faithful Israelites linked to the ancient worthies.
– The establishment of the peaceful kingdom under Christ’s heavenly administration.
Israel’s Expanding Borders and Scriptural Basis
– References to Abraham’s land promise (Genesis 13:14-17) where God grants land “northward and southward and eastward and westward” to Abraham and his seed forever.
– Moses’ reiteration of the promised land boundaries (Deuteronomy 1:7) and geographical markers like Mount Horeb and the Euphrates River (point 10 on the map).
– Micah 7:11 (NASB) predicts a day when Israel’s walls will be rebuilt and boundaries extended from Assyria to Egypt and the Euphrates.
– Bashan, Golan Heights, Gilead, and Lebanon are mentioned as part of future Israel territory.
– The promise of showing “miracles” (Micah 7:15) similar to the Exodus deliverance.
Present-Day and Near-Future Geopolitical Context
– The Gaza Strip and surrounding areas are noted with reference to Zephaniah 2:4-10, indicating desolation and forsaking of Gaza and Ashkelon.
– Israel has taken strategic military positions near Damascus (approx. 23 km).
– Anticipation of a major Arab-Israeli war (Psalm 83 War) involving mostly Arab Muslim neighboring nations, distinct from the later “Jacob’s trouble” war.
Psalm 83:4: The confederating enemies say, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.”
– The Ezekiel 38 war (“Jacob’s trouble”) involves different nations mainly from the north (descendants of Japheth), including European powers, distinct from the Psalm 83 confederacy.
Israel’s Alliances and Divine Protection
– Israel’s political alliances, particularly with the USA and evangelical Christian support, are discussed.
– Scriptures caution against reliance on human allies rather than on Jehovah (e.g., Zechariah 2:5: “Jehovah will be a wall of fire all around her”).
– The danger of Israel’s misplaced alliance with “Babylon” and the “daughters of Babylon” (apostate churches), with warnings to come out from Babylon to avoid sharing in her plagues (Isaiah 47:1, Zechariah 2:7, Revelation 18:4).
– Jeremiah 30:14 describes Israel being forsaken by all lovers due to increased sin and iniquity.
The Spoil That Provokes Jealousy
– Speculation on what “the spoil” is that enemies from the north seek in Ezekiel 38:12.
– Possible resources: oil reserves in the Mediterranean, precious metals (gold, silver, copper, palladium), and minerals of the Dead Sea.
– Silver’s industrial importance (electronics, missiles, solar panels) and the growing scarcity of precious metals are highlighted.
– The potential significance of oil pipelines through Israel from Arab Emirates is mentioned.
– The “spoils” may attract invasion and conflict.
Jacob’s Trouble and the Purging of Israel
– Jacob’s trouble refers to the final great conflict involving Gog and Magog as in Ezekiel 38-39.
– The faithful remnant of Israel (the “residue,” “remnant”) is preserved (e.g., Zechariah 4:2-3, Ezekiel 20:37-38, Zechariah 14:2).
– The war is a time of great anarchy, financial collapse, and divine judgment.
– Scriptures such as Ezekiel 7:19 and Joel 2:11 describe gold and silver being thrown into the streets, symbolizing the futility of wealth in the day of God’s wrath.
– The conflict will be a purging process separating secular Jews from Jews of faith.
Miraculous Deliverance and Divine Intervention
– God’s miraculous intervention during Jacob’s trouble will echo the Exodus deliverance:
Micah 7:15: “As in the days when you came out of Egypt, I will show them miracles.”
– Possible use of natural phenomena such as hailstones (Joshua 10:11), swarms of hornets (Joshua 24:12), and earthquakes (Ezekiel 38:19, Revelation 16:18-19).
– God will defeat Israel’s enemies, ensuring no credit can be taken by man.
– The miraculous deliverance will vindicate Jehovah’s holy name and demonstrate His power and righteousness to all nations.
Resurrection of the Ancient Worthies and Kingdom Administration
– The ancient worthies (faithful saints from the past) will be resurrected to help govern and bring order (e.g., Psalm 45:10-16, John 5:28-29, Hebrews 11:39-40, Micah 5:5).
– They will assist in educating Israel and the world under Christ’s heavenly administration.
– The Messianic Kingdom (the “holy mountain”) will bring peace, joy, righteousness, and harmony globally (Isaiah 2:2, Zephaniah 3:20).
Recognition of Jesus and Israel’s Repentance
– At the end of Jacob’s trouble, Israel will recognize Jesus as the Messiah, mourning for him as prophesied in Zechariah 12:10.
– This marks a turning point for Israel’s spiritual restoration and acceptance of the new covenant.
– Gentiles will seek to join spiritually with Israel, becoming proselyted Jews under this new covenant (Jeremiah 31:31, Zechariah 8:23, Hebrews 8:9-12).
– Warning from Acts 3:23: Anyone who does not listen to the “prophet” (the glorified church with Christ) will be destroyed.
The Heavenly and Earthly Cooperative Administration
– The heavenly administration includes Christ and the faithful “little flock” (the church), working alongside the great company in heaven and the ancient worthies on earth.
– This is symbolized by Jacob’s ladder (see Genesis 28:12, John 1:51).
– This cooperation ushers an era of peace and righteousness, fulfilling the desire of all nations (Haggai 2:3).
Final Restoration and Global Worship
– The restoration of Israel’s fortunes will be visible to all nations (Isaiah 60, Zephaniah 3:20, Ezekiel 39:25-28).
– God’s name will be magnified and sanctified worldwide as He dwells in Jerusalem.
– The kingdom will establish universal peace with no more war, fulfilling Isaiah 2:2-4:
> “They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”
Closing Exhortation
– Encouragement to deepen scriptural study and understanding.
– A call for a closer walk with Christ Jesus, praising Jehovah God.

Our title suggests today we’re going to take a look at what will be and what might be ahead in Israel’s future. We have a prophetic map of Israel for your consideration as well, if you’d like to download that. I was kind of hoping to beat you a little more quickly, but you can look at that map as we go along. But even afterwards, you can still, you know, listen to the talk again, if you like, and go through with the map and with the discourse, as we’ll probably mention again a little later on for those who will be joining us maybe a little after, we will give you a more detailed explanation of this, if you would like, you know, again, in that. In that discourse as you go through it, because I’m going to be skipping over a lot of that because of time.
So it’ll have, you know, letter and number coding on it, and that will help you to identify and get a little better, as they say, a lay of the land and help you understand where these areas are in Israel, and of course, the map itself talks about expanding borders and gives you an idea of where some of the scriptures are to look for to see if there is validation in what we presented, and we also would maybe have some other suggestions here as we go on in our talk. But first we’re going to look at these expanding borders of Israel, possible applications of Psalms 83, as well as Scriptures relating to Jacob’s trouble in Ezekiel 38 and 39.
And then finally, we’re going to be discussing Israel’s miraculous deliverance, the vindication of God’s holy name, who might be the remnant of Israel and end up with the ancient worthies. Make a little adjustment.
We’re going to also talk about the peaceful kingdom, but only at the beginning. Now, let me just say, as you all know, I’m certainly not a prophet, right? I’m merely a prophetic student with suggested applications of scripture that, like puzzle pieces, seem to fit together for me to paint a future picture. However, these puzzle pieces are scattered throughout the books of Ezekiel, Zechariah, Jeremiah and Isaiah mainly, amongst others, and I merely made an attempt at snapping these puzzle pieces together the best I can.
Although you might have your own ideas on how they might better snap together for you and when. That’s perfectly fine, and I welcome your thoughts and your scriptural reasons in the spirit of dialogue, and I suspect that many of you will not possibly agree on absolutely everything I have to say. I can almost guarantee it. Not very many brethren, in my opinion, agree on every single thing in prophecy.
That being said, I will give you a lot of scriptural references to at least show you where these prophetic statements are made and then you decide. Okay, that seems fair enough. I hope I will say that I have appreciated and try to stand on the shoulders of Brother Russell’s suggestions. Primarily though, there is a lot of scriptures that he never commented on, and I’ve been helped by some of the present day elders who to me demonstrate some excellent spiritual thinking as to how these puzzle pieces might go together.
Some, some of which are right on the program with me today. They, they’ve been a big blessing to me and talks on Israel as well as many other topics and I’m sure they have been to you as well, Brother Ken Ross and also of course laid a nice foundation for us, many of us here on, on this conference today with all that he did and Sister Virginia and Brother Ken gave us a lot of scriptures way back, I remember back in the 70s, 80s, 90s and formed a foundation for us which we really appreciate now. Note to the translators. I, I’m sorry I had to make some last minute changes. So I will attempt to connect you to my pages if you’d like, from time to time so you can reconnect to where I am.
I don’t want to frustrate you too much in this presentation, but I know it’ll be, it’ll be hard. So I appreciate your extra efforts. So first we’re going to talk about such things as Israel’s extending her borders, and if you could make sure your, your audios are off, that would really be appreciated. Then after we talk about extending her borders, Psalms 83, Ezekiel 20:38 and 39, and then namely the final phase of Jacob’s trouble.
Then the ancient worthies coming on the scene as a channel of blessing to all of the world when Jerusalem shall be then called a city of praise, obviously all under the direction of, of the heavenly administration of Christ Jesus and his faithful little flock in glory. So this is our basic outline for our discourse today, okay. It will be given as we said and as Brother Ken Rossen used to say, in the spirit of dialogue, okay? To stimulate your spiritual curiosity, your preparedness for what may lie ahead, evaluate your present understandings and hopefully promote further study. Now make no mistake about it, Jerusalem will be, as the Scriptures describe it, a heavy stone for all peoples.
For as it says in Zechariah 12:3 from the modern King James, and in that day, what day is that? The thousand year day, I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples, all who lift it or impose a burden on it shall be slashed or as it says in the nasb, severely injured, and all nations of the earth will be gathered against it. This will be a day when Jehovah will finally magnify himself and sanctify himself, and will be known in the eyes of many nations. The world will eventually fully know that Jehovah is the Lord God as well as the true identity of who the true Jesus is the present King of the earth.
So this is not all about Israel, but once again it is also a time for the vindication of God’s holy name amongst all the nations of the whole world. Jehovah has been waiting for this for a very long time. Isaiah 66 verse 10 I believe we are living in the day of the Lord. It’s the day when our Lord returns, the day of Acts 3:19 to 21 that Brother David was talking about earlier when Apostle Peter speaking to the Israelites mind you speaking to the Israelites check verse 12 states to them in Acts 3 that the times of restoration is due to begin and is separably linked with the return of our Lord as brought out already today. Again, Israel’s restitution is inseparably linked with the return of our Lord.
You can’t have one without the other. If the Lord’s return then Israel’s restoration has begun. If Israel’s restoration has begun, then our Lord has returned, and land acquisition as was brought out by brother David and others that God promised their forefathers like Abraham is part of these present day events. The jubilee picture or type is a lot about restitution of rights and liberties and a return of possessions to land.
This is God’s land, the land that he promised Abraham and the faithful fathers of Israel, and the land reacquisition has already begun.
Micah 7 verse 11 and I would suggest reading it from the NAS so it will be a day for the building of your walls. On that day your boundary will be extended. Do we see that happening on that day they will come to you from Assyria, in the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt to the river. Now that refers to the great river Euphrates, which if you do have a map already is point 10 on your map it says from sea to sea and from mountain to mountain. But the earth will be desolate because of its inhabitants and the fruit of their deeds.
Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your inheritance. The one who dwells alone in a forest in the midst of a garden land, let them feed on Bashan. Bashan is in southwestern Syria, the area which is designated number one on your handout or map of Israel and Gilead Point Number two on your map is south of Bashan, the Golan Heights. Number eight in Jordan, and I quote, and Gilead, as in the days of old, that’s going to be part of Israel’s land too, as in the days, I quote, when you came out of the land of Egypt. Now listen carefully.
I will show them wonderful things. Now, we all remember how Israel came out of Egypt, right? Miraculously, didn’t they? In the Hebrew, this can be read as this and I quote, I will show them miracles. Check that out on the I will show them miracles.
It’s the word palah in Hebrew again, God says, and I want to emphasize this, I will show them what, what miracles. What might those be? More on this later. Okay. Incidentally, the identifiers that we gave you on the map, I want to explain our only approximations that we could come up with to the best of our abilities.
But at least it might give you an idea of where to start looking, right? You know, Jehovah has long held his peace, but now, now his fury comes up in his face for his righteous in retribution, vindication of his name and demonstrating his mighty power to accomplish all that he intends. Isaiah 55:11 and Ezekiel 38, 13:19. His intention in part will be the commencement of the desire of all nations to have a world consecrated to righteousness someday and living in peace, love and harmony eventually, as kings in their own domain tested, tried and eventually proven worthy to do so.
So let’s talk about Israel’s borders and where they could expand to, at least in part. Most of the detail of this map provided in chat will be reviewed in a PDF document for your consideration. So you can actually go through the whole talk and go point by point. If you’d really like to learn that geography, we’re just going to give you kind of a sneak peek with the time that we’re given, and as you look at this map, you will notice the heavy yellow line and the heavy yellow line that is present day Israel, right?
Then look at the suggested dotted line of Israel’s expanded borders. The best that I can tell. Now I invite you to turn with me to Genesis 13 in the past.
And here’s where Abraham before his name was changed and lot have just separated themselves from one another and divided up the land to live in. Let’s start reading in verse 14. Okay, this begins to give us a general idea. Abraham is near point three on the handout map offered to you, and I quote, and it was read earlier.
And the Lord said unto Abraham, after that Lot was separated from him, lift up now thine eyes and look from the place where thou art northward and southward and eastward and westward. For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.
Forever is a long time, and I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and the breadth of it. For I will give it thee, unto thee. I will give it unto thee.
It’s God’s land, and he gives it to Abraham and his seed. Period. True, natural Israel. Jews of faith.
So we see here that Jehovah, God himself gave this land gift to Abraham and his friend. His friend rather. Who would dare. Who would dare try to take away a gift that God himself had given to someone else, as he did to Abraham, either physically or in doctrine or in political usurpation. I sure wouldn’t want to be in that person’s shoes, would you?
As we shall see, Abraham’s land will be extending much further north, way up to point 10 on your chart or map, as I believe we’ll see, and south and east and west. God also had Moses speak to the Israelites in Mount Horeb in similar language, and in Deuteronomy, chapter 1, verse 7. This, I believe, is point 5, Mount Horeb.
And still further west and south from there, in the north Sinai area, point G. Now turn you, God said to Abraham, and take your journey and go to the mount of Amorites. That’s the Nebo Ridge on the east bank of the Jordan, and unto all the places nigh there unto, that is in the Jordan Valley, in the plains, in the hills, that would be the Judean hills, and in the veil, that would be the Shephalah area, point L on your map between the coastal plain and the Judean hills, and in the south and by the seaside, to the land of the Canaanites and unto Lebanon, point 6.
Under the great river, the river Euphrates, point 10. Now, please note, dear friends, please note that just because a letter is next to a word or name does not mean that we are referring to that name, okay? The letter or number may have nothing to do with that word. So separate the letter or number as a standalone and not necessarily having to do with the name that is near it, okay? And I go on.
Behold, I have set the land before you go in and possess the land which the Lord swear unto your fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give unto them and their seed after them.
Again we go back Genesis 15 and see God’s gift of this land to Abraham’s descendants. Genesis 15:18-21. It’s already been mentioned. Now we could look at a land Description in Genesis 15 and identify the area and the ancient peoples in those areas that Abraham had promised, identifying most all of them. However, it’s time consuming and we don’t have that time.
So we suggest that you download this talk from chat the whole talk and take some time to identify those areas individually because we’ve skipped over it in this, in this session and the people that are that lived there long ago, you’ll see where they live. Mind you, there is a simpler colorful map that you could pull off of the website, and some of you are not aware of this great website that was put up called Bible Student archives A R C-I V E S.com It’s a great website, very helpful. Under the section on Israel you could pull that up. But the one here on chat has more identifiers to help you better understand the geographical high points we wish to convey.
Okay, now let’s proceed into the present and extend into prophecy. Whereas the Apostle Paul states, we see through a glass darkly, presently to us we see a possible fulfillment of Zephaniah 2, verses 4 to 10 in the Gaza Strip, a process begun where it states in verse 4, for Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation. Now, Brother Rick went over some of this nicely, so I’m going to take the opportunity to skip over this in my talk and and was really helpful. Thanks for the extra time, Brother Rick, and, and we’re going to move on just past this because I think presently Israel has taken advantage even now of some recent regime changes in Syria and has moved troops about, from what I understand, 23 kilometers outside of Damascus.
Can you imagine, at least in late 2025 we shall see what happens next. Okay, but like many of you, we look for a possible major Arab Israeli war. Maybe some of you thought that’s already happened, but we still look for it in the not too distant future, which has different players than that of Jacob’s trouble. Arab, Muslims, all nearby neighbors. You can look on that table that we’ve given to you and see the distinctions and the suggested identifiers.
All nearby neighbors to Israel in this Psalms 83 war that we believe still lies ahead. Not the Same as Jacob’s trouble. Now look at the table. Well, we’ll skip that. This is a confederated war, brother.
A confederated war of mainly Arab Muslim nations in Psalms 83. I think that’s the proper pronunciation, Muslim. So there looks to me like at least one more large war before the warring events described in Ezekiel 38, namely Jacob’s trouble. Jeremiah 30, verse 7 mentions that, and you can get these scriptures if you go through the discourse.
Like I said, and I apologize, but we. We don’t have time to repeat them all. Like I said, all the players in Psalms 83 are Arab Muslims and relative nearby neighbors. The players of Ezekiel 38 are different than the ones in Psalms 83, verse 4. They have said Psalms 83, and apparently this is Jehovah telling us what they are saying here.
He’s saying this. This is what they’re saying. Come and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
Check out the identities of these attacking nations in Ezekiel 38. I believe you will find that they are not the same as in Psalms 83. So also Brother Russell’s identifiers of these nations in volume four. Check this out. Pages 552 to 559 will be extremely helpful.
Brother Rick Cunningham, I believe, gave a good overview of these nations. If you don’t mind me mentioning this, brother Rick, in a talk titled Israel’s Future Events. I thought that was really helpful and I think all these speakers have given some lovely talks on this. So, you know, please avail yourself of that. You might like to check that out as well as these others.
You know, the players in Psalms 83 are all nearby neighbors, all Arab Muslims from what I understand. While the players in Ezekiel 38 are mainly descendants of Noah’s son Japheth and the lands from the north of Israel further away. The way we read it, we look for some major event where all Israel’s lovers will forsake her. Now that includes the United States of America. This is found in Ezekiel 38:11 as well as Ezekiel 39:26.
This looks like it comes after and perhaps because of the outcome of the war of Psalms 83, the Arab Muslim Israeli War.
I’m on page 11 for translators. Possibly this refers to Israel dwelling confidently in the land, maybe because of a strong alliance while confident, but then loses that alliance at some point. Perhaps dwelling with no walls could mean that then Israel had a strong wall of alliance with the superpower, where she rested in that wall of protection instead of resting in Jehovah, but then all nations forsake her and she’s alone. Perhaps she’s, perhaps she upset God because of her affiliation with Babylon and the Daughters of Babylon, especially with, as scriptures say, as I mentioned again, you might want to look this up. The daughters of Babylon, perhaps particularly the evangelical leaders of Babylon within the Protestant churches.
You know, brother, we’ve got to be careful about any association with Babylon or the daughters of Babylon. We were to come out of her, my people, that she be not partakers of her plagues. We can’t be arm in arm with her in any respect. Now, we could witness to people, but we’ve got to be very careful about drawing that line. The Lord sees we’re separate.
Please write this down. Isaiah 47:1, Isaiah 47:1 and Zachariah 2:7, Zechariah 2:7, and see what I mean.
Evangelical leaders of Babylon within the Protestant churches, a strong block of evangelicals. There’s many more than what you realize in the southeastern quadrant of this country. You could go about every other block. Maybe that’s an exaggeration, but almost. See, you know, church after church after church and, and, you know, I think, I think 80% of the evangelicals voted for Mr. Trump, which helped him get in.
Evangelicals are strong. Don’t underestimate them. We have been closely, these evangelicals, rather have been closely befriending Israel for quite some time now and saying, consider again Zechariah 2, verses 4 to 7. After all, as a scriptural precedent, God himself told, told Israel that he would be Israel’s wall, talking about in walled villages, God said, I’ll be your wall. That’s the only alliance that Israel would need, wouldn’t they?
Here, I’ll show you. Zechariah 2, verse 5, quote and I says, Jehovah, notice will be to her a wall of fire all around. You got a scriptural precedent there, and will be the glory in her midst. Now, perhaps again we have a scriptural precedent for identifying the unwalled villages.
It’s better to have a scriptural precedent to make connections, isn’t it? If you have God as a wall, as your alliance, why in the world would you need anything or anyone else, right? Compare the effect of the pillar of fire as a wall in the Exodus 13:21-22 picture, as well as chapter 14, verses 19 to 20. That was a wall also between Pharaoh, remember, and Israel, and Jehovah was a wall of alliance or protection for Israel against Pharaoh and his army.
And there’s similarities here we’ll get into this. Could it be that God gets angry with Israel as He has before with her misplaced alliance or allegiance? I mean, how would you feel if your child showed more appreciation and allegiance or alliance with, say, a friend’s parent more than you? This could be, but God has a good jealousy for Israel’s best interests. He is not jealous of anything or anybody.
Right? He doesn’t need to be, but someone and somewhere rather in this juncture, I believe Israel is on her own. No countries support Israel in the future, and I personally believe it is not long after the Psalms 83 conflict. But we shall see.
So then this happens. Jeremiah 30:14 all thy lovers have forsaken thee they seek thee not for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one for the multitude of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased. We can already see the UN overwhelmingly against Israel even now, but it will get even worse after the Psalms 83 war. But I believe God gets upset at her for what I suspect is that Israel will give credit for winning her battles to outside entities, like she does today with Mr. Trump militarily and perhaps evangelicals monetarily, who presently donate, you may not be aware, an estimated 175 to 200 million dollars to Israel annually. You know, it almost looks to me like the Vatican Empire.
The papacy might want to get in on this also, right? If they haven’t already. From Zephaniah 2:15 this is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly. It’s a Scriptural quote here that said, in her heart I am, and there is none beside me. Right?
This is what the the Apostate Church said. Compare the wording of Revelation 18:7 and 8. Very similar quote. This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly that said, in her heart I am, and there is none beside me. Notice also brethren, this Revelation Act 18 text is after the one in verse four, after the call to come out over my people in 1878, right?
So what happens after that? After all, the Apostate Church would like to proclaim that the Word of the Lord would go forth from Jerusalem somewhere in these events. Isaiah 2 and she liked to be sitting proudly right in Jerusalem when the dust settles. Perhaps Israel will give a little will give little show rather of credit to God for Jehovah’s intervention and and strength demonstrated on Israel’s behalf and Jesus, who has been winning her wars since the Gentile Times ended in 1914, and did you Realize that Israel has never lost a major conventional war since that time.
This time that I’m speaking about when all thy lovers have forsaken thee, now looks like the time period of when Israel dwells safely in the land. Ezekiel 38:11. Could this possibly be the reason that God pulls the forces of Gog and Magog to come down on Jerusalem in Jacob’s trouble as one last disciplinary action on the nominal Jews? One source of mine says this, that Mr. Netanyahu maintains a constant and high frequency dialogue. Listen.
With the evangelical leaders whom he describes notice as Israel’s best friends. That’s what he calls them. This source that says that Mr. Netanyahu views this alliance as a strategic imperative for Israel’s security and global standing, recently framing the cooperation as part of an eighth front in the war for public opinion on the social media amongst Westerners. Now, make no mistake about it, the United States is a very militarily powerful alliance that Israel clearly recognizes as a close friend even today, working arm in arm with Mr. Trump at present, and where is most of the credit going for their successes?
Not to God so much, and where is most of that credit going? Again, not to God. We understand that the condition that prevails where Israel dwells safely in the land is noticed by the countries of Gog and Magog, anarchistic forces from the north of Israel, and apparently they want a spoil.
They’re jealous of something. What could that be? What could that spoil be? So the big question is for all of us, right? What is the spoil of their jealousy that they go after?
Do you have any ideas? You might. Is it oil or is it what? Perhaps Israel will have large reserves of newly discovered oil under the waters of the Mediterranean. That may be already something they’re working on, or maybe something else, like precious metals, newly discovered gold, silver, copper or palladium.
I’m not sure, are you? How about the minerals in the Dead Sea? Did you know that the Dead Sea minerals are extremely valuable, generating roughly 2.1 million in annual revenue. It’s a global powerhouse for several critical minerals. However, I’m recently aware that Israel might someday soon, I understand, allow a strategic oil pipeline to flow through their country.
I think it’s from the Arab emirate, I think is what they call it to the Mediterranean. It may be another, but check me out on that. To obligate an alliance of mutual cooperation from a neighboring country for the benefit of their survival. Oil is a precious commodity and necessary to keep the transportation and military machines going. So if someone either had the oil or access to the oil that could benefit outside entities.
This could possibly create the need or jealousy of nations from the north to attack Israel to obtain this critically important oil. Therefore, I suspect that oil could be the spoil, as they say. Perhaps you would agree. We shall see. I’d love to get your thoughts on this, but that’s only a possibility, right?
As I said, the vicious and jealous hordes from the north will come down like a cloud on Israel when they see her dwelling safely, confidently to take a spoil. After all, could that have possibly been actually the main reason Trump invaded Venezuela this year? For their oil? Perhaps the drug narrative only helped to frame the real reason. Right, Oil.
I’d be happy to hear your thoughts on that too. However, listen up. Gold and silver. You might have ruled that out, but there, and particularly silver, has a very high industrial demand and is having a great shortage in many countries. Missiles, electronics.
That phone in your pocket or purse has got so much silver in it. It’s the best conductor of electricity, right? Let alone the solar panels that China’s cranking out. I mean, you know, robotics, AI. Silver is more important than what you realize.
And it’s now a critical and on a critical shortage by the president of critical minerals. Banks are buying up gold very quickly, if you haven’t noticed. Gold is pretty important too, and it’s drying up in a lot of areas. But silver is. There’s a real lag in production.
The value of these precious metals has skyrocketed even in the past several months. Isaiah 60, verse 11, and think about the last huge aliyah of Jews returning to Israel after the war. I believe in Psalms 83. Take a look at that.
I think there will be another big aliyah like there was earlier from Russia and so on. Look at Zechariah 10, verses 9 and 11. Check the context. They don’t. They don’t own and.
And operate in Lebanon, right? They don’t do that. But that’s in the future. So check out that next aliyah. They bring their silver and their gold with them, just like when they left Egypt.
That’s what the scriptures say. Do we take a literal. It could be taken symbolically too, but maybe also literally. You can buy small amounts of gold and silver that are easily transportable. That may possibly be the spoil.
I don’t know. Gold and silver always has the appeal of value to humanity for thousands of years, right? Do you think that the hordes of Gog and Magog forces might still think there’s a means of bartering food and goods with it? And the Jews coming to Israel by the thousands and it’s sure more transportable than oil, right? You can carry coins of gold smaller than a penny that are worth 500 to $600 each.
That much you can eat and you can carry a lot of them, right? You can even buy lightweight gold backed currency. Did you know that that is 24 karat gold threaded through each bill. Silver has an incredible industrial use for electronics as we said, and there are other good suggestions as well, but we shall see. It’s not clear yet.
This situation of Israel dwelling safely, confidently then brings on the scenario of Jacob’s trouble in Ezekiel 38 and possibly then the opportunity for God to filter out the secular Jews from the real Jews of faith. Zechariah 4:2 and 3 it says, and I quote, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Incidentally, the word residue there in Zechariah 14:2 is the same word as remnant in the Hebrew. See also regarding this purging process that God has in store. Ezekiel 20, verses 37 to 38, especially verse 38.
In Zechariah 14, verse 2 it states that God will spare the remnant. But who are the remnant? Right? That’s a big question. I submit that this is most likely referring to the Jews of faith.
Isaiah 43 so Israel is attacked from the hordes or plunderers from the north in Europe, and some from Asia Minor and Asia both to the north of Israel. These I understand once again to be Gog and Magog. Ezekiel 38:11 16 Again look at volume 4, page 552 to 559 critical reading on this topic as descendants from Ham, Shem and Japheth, from what I understand, but mainly Japheth. Again, take a look at your table on chat. I’ve got a couple suggestions there.
The attackers, we understand, will be chiefly from Europe. The North Quarters Volume 4, page 556 this time of Jacob’s trouble is a time of great anarchy. It is after the church is complete, and even after the great company, I believe are gone. We believe it’s a time during a complete financial collapse. Ezekiel 7:19 Remember, they throw their gold into the streets, and the Lord’s great army is fully engaged.
Let’s read that. Ezekiel 7:19 but note Joel 2:11 also quote they shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed their silver and notice their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They shall not satisfy their souls, and neither Fill their bowels. Because notice it is the stumbling block of their iniquity. What their love for gold and silver, could that be?
That spoil? They can’t count on it in the end, can they? They better count on Jehovah God. Look earlier in the context and it’s taking primarily. It’s talking primarily about Israel throwing their gold and silver into the streets.
If you look at the context of that. But look earlier from Ezekiel. So they may be bringing their gold and silver with them, perhaps as the eventual spoil only end up throwing it into the streets. Possible. I believe you can take this scripture both literally and symbolically.
Brethren, recall from this time of Jacob’s trouble in Zechariah 14:2 that Jerusalem is invaded by Gog. I suggest possibly representing working through someone like. Like did Pharaoh remember the Pharaoh picture in Exodus? I think he worked through Hitler also quite closely. Maybe you would agree, right?
But this picture of of Pharaoh and the picture of the Exodus, a very similar scenario in many ways, and Magog, the merciless plunderers led by Satan, and half of the city is taken. I believe the Gog here is symbolic, just like the gog in Revelation 20, verse 8. Remember that?
Take a look at it. Gog and Magog show up there at the end of the thousand years where we see Gog and Magog, the peoples with Satan at the end of a thousand years. Think about that. Consider that in Revelation 20, verse 8, that’s where you go to look. Both are attacking God’s people, natural Jews in the first place, and then a whole world of Jews in the second place.
Right? Because everybody is going to be a proselyted Jew in the end. Brother Russell says it is similar to the Exodus of volume four. This is what he says. It’s similar to the to the exodus on page 556 in volume four.
Food for thought. Now, moving forward in Zechariah 14:2, they come halfway into the city. We often think of half in the sense of cutting a pie in half, right? But perhaps this actually refers to one of two groups rather than 50%. Just like in the parable of the wise and foolish virgins.
Five wise and five foolish. Right? But we know that actually the wise virgins were much less in number, right? I indeed I need rather to think. Brother David Stein brought that to my attention some time ago.
Thank you, brother David. Just like the little flock is much less in number than the great company, right? So too the scriptures could be pointing to two groups of Jews when they come down into Jerusalem. The faithful versus the Nominal Jews then God magnificently fights for Israel like he did in the days of Old Zechariah 14:3. His fury has now come up in his face with anger.
Think of that. Ezekiel 38:18 for these are his people and his land. The forces of Gog and Magog are attacking. I believe this is a time of great symbolic earthquake where it says a great shaking in Ezekiel 38:19 involving Israel. Some translations will say great earthquake like in the NASB.
We think it’s part of the same earthquake brethren. That is in Revelation 16:18 and 19 when Babylon’s physical fall takes place during the seventh plague. Volume 4, page 557 again the same earthquake, but in two parts or features. Mind you, and note this that if Jacob’s trouble is still in the future, so also is the complete fall of Babylon. Not mind you, in the past.
I believe there are two falls, namely the Spiritual Fall in 1878 and the Physical fall which is sometime future. That’s what the Scriptures say to me. Revelation 18:2 Great Babylon has fallen. The beast and the false prophet are destroyed and in verse 20 of 19 and there are no more kingdoms or republics on the earth according to the Bible. Revelation 16:20 Although in Revelation large symbolic hailstones tear down everything with the truth.
Revelation 16:21 and we might might actually see more literal hailstones and nature’s wrath fall upon Israel’s enemies in their miraculous deliverance at the end. Ezekiel 38:22. That way no man and no Israelite can take credit for something God did and that he had no control over. That man had no control over no Jew or anybody else. It’s only Jehovah that would do it.
Did you know that God did this once before when Joshua was fighting a battle in Joshua 10:11 for your reference, Joshua 10:11 and I quote and it came to pass as they fled from before Israel and were in going down to Beth Harhun, notice that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died. Now notice quote, there were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with a sword. Now some listening might accuse me of being a spectacularist. But then brother Russell suggested some pretty spectacular events also, didn’t he? In volume four, page 556 not always, but sometimes the there’s a place for spectacular events, wouldn’t you agree?
So I’m in good company. Perhaps. Well, more on that another time. Miracles performed as suggested also once again in Micah 7, 14 and 15. I understand miraculous is probably meant in those verses, particularly verse 15 in the NASB.
And that’s what the pastor suggested. Remember I told you there were similarities to the Exodus picture? Now I quote from the NASB once again in Micah 7:15. As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt. Did you catch that?
As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show you what miracles Notice it was like the time when they were miraculously delivered from Egypt and the Pharaoh’s army. This, I suggest, will be spectacularly similar in Jacob’s trouble. God’s destruction of the enemies of Israel will be incredible, and the nations will be ashamed of their treatment of God’s people. It says they will put their hands on their mouth and their ears will be deaf.
The nations must see God’s attribute power and respect it. The word miraculous there, as we said in Micah 7:15, is also the Hebrew word Paula, which can also be translated miracles. Take a note of that, please. See what brother Russell said on this, on page 5, 5, 6, and 7. It’s not just me.
Page 626, also in the fourth volume. Once again, Micah 7:14. Notice verse 15. As in the days when you came out of Egypt, as in those days. Right.
I will show you miracles. Well, I don’t know about you, dear friends, but I thought that dividing into the waters was pretty miraculous. Right? Could Jehovah use nature like he did in Joshua 10:11, when God slew Israel’s enemies with large hailstones, as we mentioned before? And more died from those hailstones from the swords of Joshua’s army?
Absolutely. Remember, the church and the great company are all gone now, and we are in the time of great changes in the world, including miracles, like before the age of faith. In Joshua 24:12, did you know that God drove away Israel’s enemies by hornets? Yes, you heard me right.
Hornets, apparently. Swarms of hornets. That must have been pretty spectacular, too. What do you think? Tell me, how does man control swarms of hornets?
Man can’t, can they? But God sure can, can he? Again, just read page 556 in the fourth volume, okay? It’s in the midst of this trouble that we believe the ancient worthies will be raised from the dead. Psalms 45, 10, 16, and John 5, 28 and 29.
And King David himself and the others will bring order out of chaos. Right? We know that they’re coming back from Hebrews 11, 39, 40, and Micah 5, verse 5. Check that out. Micah 5, verse 5.
Oh, yes. People will probably think they’re imposters at first, but soon they will see their perfection and mental superiority and concede to their identities and administrative direction, especially because of such beneficial changes. In Micah 5:5 the Scriptures allude to the time when seven shepherds and eight principal men, being the little flock and the ancient worthies respectively, and Jehovah will have a purging in all the land. It is at this time that we believe Israel will come to a realization of who Jesus actually was. This, we understand, will be at the end of Jacob’s trouble and Israel will recognize It’ll be quite an emotional moment, won’t it, that it was Jesus who they slayed the Son of God.
Wow.
And they will mourn and weep in humility of that recognition. Zechariah 12:10 I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplication. Notice so that they will look on me whom they have pierced and they will mourn for him, as one mourns for an only son, and they shall weep bitterly over him, like the bitter weeping over the firstborn. What a moment that will be, right? See more on this in volume two, page 130.
Take a note of that. Volume two, page 130. You might be surprised what Brother Russell suggests is there. All of mankind have heard of the miraculous deliverance of Israel by now from their enemies, realizing only God could have performed such miracles. Right?
And Jehovah will not only have saved Israel and made them a praise of amongst all nations his people, but he will be vindicated as the righteous, powerful, wise, and loving God that he is, as they come to the instruction and education by the ancient worthies. Ezekiel 30:38 the resurrection or awakening of the dead will have begun to take place. John 5:28 29 and all the Gentiles will take hold of the garment of the true Jew, and say what you know it. Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you. We believe the new covenant made with Israel and the house of Judah will then be operative in the earth, as it says in Jeremiah 31:31 and I’m sure you know that well where he’ll put write his law in their hearts.
Right? And all Gentiles will have to become proselyted Jews again. All Gentiles will have to become proselyted Jews, as it says in Zechariah 8:23. What does it say? Thus saith the Lord of hosts, in those days it shall come to pass that 10 men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew saying we we will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.
Yes, a plain scripture statement going along with Jeremiah 31:31 God will put his law, his new law covenant into not only Israel’s hearts, but because all of humanity will become proselyted Jews. They too will then come under the terms and conditions of of the new covenant. Hebrews 8, verses 9 to 12 Gentiles cannot stay Gentiles and come under the new law covenant and expect to have life. That will be problematic for some Gentiles who have hated Jews in the past, won’t it? But Acts 3:23 a stiff warning and it shall be that every soul who will not hear that prophet who’s that?
The glorious church right with Christ shall be destroyed from amongst the people. Shall be destroyed from amongst the people. The heavenly administration of Christ and the church will work in conjunction with the great company who are now before the heavenly throne in the spiritual realms. Revelation 7:9 and working with the ancient worthies in the earthly administration. We believe Jacob’s ladder in Genesis 28:12 was a picture of this arrangement of them going back and forth.
And Jesus mentions this in John 1, verse 51 and volume 4, page 629 the Messianic kingdom is now established, and the communication between heaven and earth is now bringing peace, love and harmony more and more in most all of humanity, the desire of All Nations Haggai 2:3 I believe Isaiah 60, verses 9 to 18 refers to this time as God always intended. He will give Israel praise amongst all the peoples of the earth, when he restores their fortunes before the whole world’s eyes. Zephaniah 3:20 what a God of such great mercy and forgiveness. Ezekiel 39:25 Therefore thus saith the LORD God, now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and will be zealous or jealous. It says in in the in our in our Bibles for my Holy name have mercy upon the whole house of Israel.
Verse 26 and and after that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses, whereby they have trespassed against me. Notice when they dwelt safely in their land, so they did something during that time right, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid when I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations. Verse 28. This is from the ESV then they shall know that I am the Lord their God. Because I sent them into exile among the nations and then assembled them into their own land, I will leave none of them remaining amongst the nations anymore.
In other words, they’re all going to be taken from those nations and and back to Israel, and I will not hide my face anymore from them when I pour out my spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord God. Thus I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Thus saith the Lord of hosts. I was jealous for Zion with a great jealousy.
And I was jealous for her with great fury. Thus saith the Lord. I am returned unto Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth, and the mountain or kingdom of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain, we now by this time have entered into the great mediatorial reign, and thy kingdom come, the holy mountain or holy kingdom, will bring peace and joy, righteousness and love to the entire world of mankind.
Praise be.
Praise be to Jehovah, God, the high and lofty One who dwells in eternity.
Thy kingdom come, and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and from Isaiah 2:2 in closing and it shall be in the last days that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it, and many people shall go and say, come and let us go to the mountain of Jehovah. What a time. To the house of the God of Jacob.
And we will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. This is what we’re all working for, brethren, for out of Zion will go out the law and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem, and he shall judge amongst the nations and shall rebuke many people, and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Wow. What a time. How we look forward to it. We pray that you’ve captured a lot of Scripture, brethren in this discourse and that by God’s grace, perhaps have been stimulated to more study, perhaps learned something you didn’t know or ever even thought about before, and been blessed by all of the discourses that have been provided here at this convention. To the glory of God our Father, and to an even closer walk with your Master, Christ Jesus.
Amen.
