Psalm 139:14 (NASB20), “I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.”

Over 6,000 years ago, God created man in His own image. Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Our minds and bodies are complex, intricate, and amazing creations. Even with advanced science, we are just learning about our wonderful beings.

However, when Adam sinned, God judged him unworthy of everlasting life and sentenced him (and all of his children) to the penalty: “dying thou dost die.” Genesis 2:17 (Young’s Literal Translation of the Bible) Without being able to eat from the Tree of Life, mankind’s genes and bodies degrade until the person dies. Over 6,000 years of genetic mutations result in the birth of imperfect human beings. (This is not caused by Satan.) Thus, some babies are born deformed or conjoined, but all babies are born imperfect, dying.

Nevertheless, life is a gift from God – even imperfect life. Why is God permitting all of this suffering? Because everyone is learning that sin always leads to suffering and evil. In the long view of God’s plan, we see that our few years of experiencing sin will be more than offset in an eternity of perfect life. In the earthly resurrection, mankind’s mental, moral, spiritual, and physical heath will all be restored. (See Isaiah 35, Jeremiah 31:33-34.)

During the little season at the end of Christ’s 1,000 year reign, Satan will be released to deceive people again. But this time, the majority of mankind will not fail the test and disobey. Adam didn’t appreciate the results of sin. But we do because we have experienced the results of sin – evilness. Romans 7:13 NKJV), “…sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin…might become (be understood as) exceedingly sinful.”

Thus, throughout all eternity, people will never be tempted to sin again as they will remember their experience with evil. (Any who prove to love sin and evil will die the second death and cease to exist.)
