Habakkuk 2:2-3 (CSB), “The LORD answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.”
In the Lord’s prayer, Jesus taught the apostles to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:9-13. We know that all things are right in Heaven, and this promise is that they will also be right on earth in His appointed time.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 10-11 NIV, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:…I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
In the midst of hardships, we tend to feel our prayers and cries to God aren’t being heard because we may not see an immediate change in our situations. This is a misconception of how our relationship with God actually should be. We are to put all our trust in God’s hands, after all, “God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.” 1 John 3:20.
“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:25-26
Just because we do not see an immediate change or answer, doesn’t mean God never heard you, because He has! Most of all, The Bible reveals that God’s ultimate purpose for the world of mankind is to fulfill His promise to faithful Abraham, "In thee and in thy seed shall I bless all (the living and the dead) the families of the earth.” Genesis 12:3
Jeremiah 29:11-12, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.’”
But even to honest-hearted Christians, these promises still seem far from fulfillment and many questions persist. Many of the answers to how God will make all things right and when He will do it in His appointed time are to be found in the wonderful book, “The Divine Plan of the Ages”.
