Jesus was the Son of God…

Jesus was a spirit being before he was born on earth.  Jesus was called “the Word” and he created all things as God’s representative and through God’s power and name.

Prov. 8:23 – 30 (New Living Version) I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters. Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was bornbefore he had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil. I was there when he established the heavens, when he drew the horizon on the oceans. I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth. I was there when he set the limits of the seas, so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. And when he marked off the earths foundations, I was the architect at his side. I was his constant delight, rejoicing always in his presence.”

Col. 1:15-17 (New Living Version)   Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.  He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we cant see. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else…

Jesus came to earth and became a perfect human.  God was his father and Mary was his mother.

John 1:14  And the Word (Logos) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Luke 1:26 – 35  God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a city in Galilee, to a virgin who was engaged to a man named Joseph…The virgin’s name was Mary.   When the angel came to her, he said, “Rejoice, favored one! The Lord is with you!”   She was confused by these words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.   The angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Mary. God is honoring you.   Look! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.   He will be great and he will be called the Son of the Most High… … Then Mary said to the angel, “How will this happen since I haven’t had sexual relations with a man? The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come over you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the one who is to be born will be holy. He will be called God’s Son.”

Jesus lived on the earth and at the age of 30 he dedicated his life to preach the truth of God.

Isa. 61:1 (Contemporary English Version) “…The Lord has chosen and sent me to tell the oppressed the good news

Luk 3:21,22,23  (Contempory English Version)  While everyone else was being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. Then as he prayed, the sky opened up,   and the Holy Spirit came down upon him in the form of a dove. A voice from heaven said, You are my own dear Son, and I am pleased with you When Jesus began to preach, he was about thirty years old.

After 3 ½ years of Jesus’ ministering, he was crucified on the cross, giving his life to become a redeemer for all of mankind.  He was resurrected on the third day as a spirit being of the highest divine nature.

Rom. 6:9  (New Living Translation) We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him.

Phil 2:9 Therefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name.
