No, you should have nothing to do with any mediums. You should definitely not study with a medium or give a song of the night.
Spiritualism is a rapidly growing movement, numbering several millions of people. Many of the facts about experiences with mediums clearly establish mediums as practicing Biblically forbidden acts.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (ESV), 10 "There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer 11 or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD…”
Many of the supernatural phenomena which occur happen through the aid of mediums. These phenomena are produced by the fallen angels (demons). The fall of these angels from Divine grace occurred because they were disobedient. These are restrained "in chains of darkness" (the darkness of the night–manifestations can take place only in the dark), until the judgment time. Jude 1:6 (NIV), “And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling–these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.”
These demons or fallen angels have impersonated the dead. They communicated that they wished to contact their human friends and families through the aid of mediums. It is displeasing to the Lord for any of His people to communicate with these demons.
Isaiah 8:19-20 (NIV), 19 "When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 Consult God's instruction and the testimony of warning ?(the Bible). If anyone does not speak according to this word (the Bible), they have no light of dawn.” (See also Leviticus 20:27.)
