We can’t give you any specific prayer, as all prayer must come from the heart of the one praying. In a group we can say, “Amen” to another’s prayer and join with them in their prayer, but when we pray alone, it needs to come from our own heart.

There are no specific words or verses to say to ensure our prayers will be answered. God doesn’t care if we make a mess of our words. He doesn’t answer our prayers based on how poetic, or noble sounding. We can just sit there and cry and He understands what we are trying to say. Let us look at some scriptures along that line:

Exodus 2:24,  And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Romans 8:26-28,  In the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit (not the Holy Spirit, but our spirit within our hearts) itself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express.  (27)  And God, who sees into our hearts, knows what the thought of the Spirit is; because the (our) Spirit pleads with God on behalf of his people and in accordance with his will.  (28)  We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.

If you want God to guide, protect and save you all you have to do is ask. Jesus says He is the Way, Truth, and Life and by going through Jesus to the Father, He promises us an answer.

John 14:13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 15:16  It is not ye that chose me, but I that have chosen you; and I have appointed you, that ye also should go and yield fruits, and that your fruits should continue; so that whatever ye may ask of my Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 16:26,  “At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:”  James 4:3,  “You make your request but you do not get it, because your request has been wrongly made, desiring the thing only so that you may make use of it for your pleasure.” These scriptures teach that we can not ask for worldly things, our heart’s desires which lust after the flesh.

There are no specified words, but there is a formula for asking.

1) We have to accept Jesus as our Savior. This means repenting of sins and walking in the ways of Jesus
2) We obey his commands. (God does not have to answer a disobedient child)
3) We ask for things that God wants us to have—like you spelled out: guidance, protection and salvation.
4) We have to do our part. Guidance comes from studying God’s Word. Protection—we must make sure we do not put ourselves knowingly in harm’s way. Salvation—we are told that patience and being faithful to the end will guarantee salvation.
5) Remember to ask it to be the Lord’s will and in Jesus’ name.
