This app does not post prayer requests. However, we thought it might be encouraging to explain how Christians might deal with approaching trials. Then whenever some dear one needs spiritual support, strength and encouragement, he or she might remember these words of wisdom from the apostles.

First, “Have faith in God.” Mark 11:22 (NKJV) God is our stronghold.

Then remember 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NET). “No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.”

Every trial is really a blessing from the Lord because it teaches us obedience, love, and grace. James 1:2-4 (NKJV), “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect (mature) and complete, lacking nothing.” It is hard to be joyful when having a trial, but trials purify our characters. We develop more determination to serve and do God’s will over our own wills. This determination will develop a more Christ-like character with mature fruits of the spirit.

In order to know how to glorify God through a trial, ask God for wisdom. James 1:5-6 (NKJV), “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”

Finally, embrace these three scriptures for comfort:
Psalm 34:15 (NKJV), “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.”
Psalm 145:18 (NKJV), “The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.”
Luke 18:1 NKJV), “Then he (Jesus) spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”
