Is deliverance a process?

Deliverance is a process, whether it is situational or ultimate.  There were numerous times that God “delivered” Israel from their enemies (situational).  See Joshua 6-Jericho, Judges 6 & 7-Gideon, 1 Samuel 17-David & Goliath. Deliverance, as a Christian, from sin and from this life into the next (ultimate), is a process.  The path of a [...]

Can we show Jesus to hurting people by ministering without words but with actions of gentleness, KINDNESS, compassion, and TENDERNESS?

All scriptures are quoted from the NIV Bible. Yes!  Gentleness, kindness, compassion, and tenderness are all expressions of love.  God is love; and "the Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being." (Hebrews 1:3), so Jesus is also love.  Love for God and for others should be the foundation [...]

What did Jesus mean by "for the elect sake those days shall be shortened." Matthew 24:22? Shorten the length of a day, shorten the number of days or something else?

Is there a special position for praying? Some say praying while standing or walking does not respect God.

In Mark 11:25, Jesus said, "Whenever you stand up to pray, if you have anything against anybody, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."  (Moffatt Translation of the Bible) In Matt. 6:6, Jesus said, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy [...]

Why did it take Jesus four days to resurrect Lazarus?

Before the death of Lazarus, Jesus had already raised others from the dead:  "Jesus went to a town called Nain.......where a dead person was being carried out........He said, 'Young man, I say to you, get up!'  The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother."  Luke 7:11-15  [...]
