Christ’s second advent reign is a time of restoration of all that was lost through sin. Acts 3:20-21 (NKJV), “…He may (shall) send Jesus Christ,…whom heaven must receive (or retain) until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.” Mankind lost perfection of life and their dominion over earth, and the lower creation. (Genesis 1:28)
What were Adam and Eve, and earth’s animals given to eat originally? The first couple, as well as the animals, were given plants and fruit to eat. Genesis 1:29-30 NKJV – “And God said, ‘See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food’; and it was so.”
During Christ’s reign Isaiah 65:25 will be fulfilled, “‘The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, The lion shall eat straw like the ox, And dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain (kingdom),’ Says the LORD.” It seems unlikely that people will eat meat once the peaceable kingdom is restored.
Some may say that these scriptures do not mention the diet for sea creatures. Will mankind eat some kinds of fish? Maybe. We will just have to wait and see.
