I have a friend that believes that God uses the devil to kill Christians when it's their time to come to heaven. I told her no, God doesn't need to use the devil. Please clarify this for me and give me scriptures to prove it to her. Thank you!

Yes and no. Satan does have power over death. It’s part of his dark empire. (Hebrews 2:14)

God permitted the devil to be present in the Garden of Eden. Satan was the deceiver, who tempted Eve and indirectly Adam to sin. Their sin brought death upon us all. “…in Adam all die…” 1 Corinthians 15:22. “By […]

What are the spiritual blessings according to Ephesians 1:3?

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,” Ephesians 1:3.

The spiritual blessings referred to in Ephesians 1:3 are given to Christians who have consecrated their lives to God through His Son, Jesus Christ.  These spiritual blessings, as opposed […]

Romans 8:30 talks about those He has predestined. What does that mean?

This verse is about the body of Christ. There will be a class of individuals who conform to preordained standards. The Heavenly Father planned this class even before the foundation of the world. God purposed to grant the Christ (Jesus and His body members) a place of glory, honor, and immortality. (Romans 2:7; I Corinthians […]

Why did Jesus select only men to be his apostles?

Only men are to be leaders in the church. This is based on the following two scriptures. 1 Timothy 3:1,2, "This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop (overseer), he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife…able to teach." 1 Corinthians […]

Please help us to understand vividly I Corinthians 13:11,12.

1 Corinthians 13:11-12 (NIV), “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now […]

What is the meaning of Psalm 1:1-6 and Psalm 19:14? How can we make our words and our hearts' meditations acceptable to God?

The first Psalm compares Jesus and His followers, those who walk in purity of heart, with those who walk in sinful paths. Christians produce the good fruits of the spirit as they drink on the pure doctrines of truth. Whereas sinful man perishes. It's important to remember that friends impact our hearts and lives. “Do […]

When will the War of Ezekiel 38 happen? Many say it might start this year or next year. If so, will it start before or after the Church Bride Class is completed?

There are a variety of thoughts about the Ezekiel 38 prophecy. The following represents one viewpoint.

Three preconditions must be met prior to the war:

First, Israel must be regathered as a nation (verses 8,12). In the last 140 years, large populations of Jewish people have immigrated back to the promise land. The year 1948 saw Israel […]

Will only Blacks will go to heaven and are they are the true Israel tribes?

The whole human family is descended from Adam and Eve. 1 Corinthians 15:22, "In Adam all die…" The parents of mankind had been told to multiply and fill the earth. As people moved to different regions on the earth, the traits within each group became more dominant and more pronounced. God does not favor people […]

How precious are we to our GOD and to Jesus?

We are very precious! God sacrificed his only begotten Son to die for all mankind:

"For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's," 1 Corinthians 6:20
"You are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men," 1 Corinthians 7:23.
"For God so loved […]

Please explain 1 Peter 4: 5,6. Who are the living and the dead? What is the gospel preached and why?

The context of the first six verses aids our understanding.

1 Peter 4:1-6 (NASB), “Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,  so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will […]
