Thank you for your interesting question.  Generally in the New Testament, the word office describes a position of service in the church such as a deacon, or an elder (translated bishop).  When the early church was being established, the apostle Paul gave some helpful guidelines in the qualifications of one who would serve in this way.  1 Tmothy 3:10, "And let these first be proved; let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless."  Humility was one most important character trait because it would be easy to become hungry for power if holding an office.  Service was the nature of the "office. "

Your question may come from Romans 12:4 -8, where the apostle Paul uses the word office to mean gifts or talents that each member of the church has:  "For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us:  

– whether prophecy, let us prophecy  according to the proportion of faith;
– Or ministry…
– or he that teaches…
– Or he that exhorts…
– he that gives, let him do it with simplicity;
– he that rules, with diligence;
– he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness."

Paul is saying that each member of the body of Christ has unique gifts, or talents, and that they should be used to serve others.  No one individual would have all the gifts, but each is responsible to use his gift or talent to build up the body of Christ. It is very faith-strengthening and encouraging to know that each of us has gifts we can use to help others. 

Other Scriptures describe the special, miraculous gifts of healing that were given by Jesus only to the apostles. Matthew 10:8,  "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."  These miraculous gifts were given to the apostles for the purpose of growing and establishing the faith of the early church.  Once the church was more established, there was no need for these miraculous healings. These gifts ended when the lives of the apostles ended.    Our God is a loving God and His purposes will be accomplished.
