The Lord requires certain conditions of one who desires wisdom. The Psalms tell us to be humble, to recognize and admit our weak, sinful condition, and then to seek His wisdom. Psalm 25:9 “… He teaches the humble His way,” Psalm 111:10 “Reverence for the Lord is [...]
We respect anyone who is sincerely and humbly searching for God. The Quran, upon which Islam is based, claims that the Day of Judgment is committed unto Jesus. “And he (Jesus, son of Mary) shall be a knowing sign for the coming of the [...]
Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (and quoted in Ephesians 5:31). Marriage and sexual intimacy are to occur only between a man and his wife. The [...]
Luke 21:3, "And he said...This poor widow has given more than all of them: for they gave out of their wealth, having more than enough for themselves: but she, even out of her need, has put in all her living."? In Luke 20:45-47, Jesus [...]
Jesus said to Pilate, “For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice”. Then Pilate asked, “What is truth?” (John 18:37-38) When you look [...]
There is no scripture which tells us exactly what Paul's "thorn in the flesh" was. It is often thought that it was an eye impairment brought about by seeing the risen Christ. When Paul, (then named Saul), was traveling to Damascus to persecute the [...]
The Bible mentions no set times to pray or how often. When our Lord needed to choose his apostles, he prayed all night. (Luke 6:12 “he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” ) So when [...]
Ephesians 4:32 reads, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.” This is a question which has troubled many Christians over the years, especially those desirous of being pleasing to their Heavenly Father. We pray [...]
The Masoretic Text is the definitive text of the Hebrew Bible. It was primarily edited, fixed and standardized from old Hebrew manuscripts by a group of Jewish scholars known as the Masoretes or Masorites in Tiberias, Israel, between the 7th and 10th centuries C.E. [...]

Christmas and Easter are both Christian traditions that attempt to focus on Jesus. The Christmas holiday is the fixed date of December 25. The Easter holiday is the tradition of placing Jesus’ resurrection on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or [...]
The scriptural citation referred to is from Matthew 19:3-9, “…Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?’ And he answered…Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, [...]
I believe Jesus answers this best Himself in the following incident: Matthew 11:2-5, “Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we [...]
1 Peter 1:3-5 reads, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an [...]
We often ask ourselves because of certain characteristics or circumstances if someone we know, or maybe ourselves, will go to hell. Perhaps this question arises from the reading of Luke 16:19-31, the Parable of the rich man and Lazarus. A couple important points to [...]
“All unrighteousness is sin,” 1 John 5:17. Every violation of the divine law is sin, so we can answer this question by looking at God’s laws on marriage. The divine law blessed marriage between one man and one woman from the beginning and intended it [...]
"Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior." (Ephesians 5:22,23) When the Apostle Paul begins this part of [...]
1 John 3:9-13 (NET) “Everyone who has been fathered by God does not practice sin,…by this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed…you have heard from the beginning: that we should love one another, not like Cain who was [...]
Not only will there be no male or female in heaven, but no fleshly bodies. 1 John 3:2, “Beloved, we are God’s children now; it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears we shall be like [...]
Samson grew to become the strongest man of the Bible. In the tribe-land of Dan, which was next to the country of the Philistines, there lived a man named Manoah. One day an angel came to his wife and said:"You shall have a son, and when [...]
